The Games We Play

Me and my friend Jack play and we have fun
And I like surprising him when he's laying quietly in the sun
I love to see him jump, but my friend he will remain
Though he doesn't mind and no one's to blame.

Sometimes Jack will annoy me if he wants to lay down in my place
And it's best to move than end up face to face
I am not afraid and I have no shame
Though I don't really mind and no one's to blame.

My Dad is busy digging a trench in the garden right now
And he's using a tool that behaves like a plough
This furrow is quite deep and no place for a game
And if I got hurt then only I'd be to blame.

I am not very old though I like a good fight
I consider myself wise and sometimes stay out all night
My breakfast, dinner and tea are usually the same
Though I don't really mind and no one's to blame.

One thing I know is that I don't drink enough
It's never a problem though as I don't like the stuff
Water or milk, it's always the same
Though I don't really mind and no one's to blame.

I like the peaceful and quiet life and it is a must
That I am fair in my wisdom and more than a little bit just
When I play rough I still call it a game
Though no one seems to mind and no one's to blame.

Every day I look around to see what's new
I am very nosey, but it's what I do
To be quite honest it's mostly the same
Though I don't really mind and no one's to blame.

My name is Felix and I'm a really smart animal
And Jack and I may both be cats with a strong sense of survival
We enjoy life being safe, happy and in the main
Nobody ever minds that we usually are to blame.
